June 2023 - The survey data has been reviewed and the report can be found here.

Mar 2023 - The BR&E survey is now closed. We will be reviewing the data and using it to help serve the local business community.

Feb 2023 - We will be wrapping up the BR+E surveys on February 28th. At this time we do not have enough business surveys to meet provincial standards, so if you are a business or know a business, we’d appreciate if you could take some time to complete the survey. Regardless of the number of responses, we will be reviewing the information and putting it into action.

Dec 2022 - Many businesses have been contacted, but not all have had a chance to complete the survey. At this time we do not have enough data to work with, so with the Holiday season upon us, we’ve decided to temporarily halt our efforts and will recommence in the new year! If you are a business and would like to complete our survey, please use the form below and we will get that sent out to you. Surveys can continue to be completed at this time, we just won’t be reaching out as we know many of you will be very busy at this time.

Project Timeline

  • Fill out the form at the bottom of the page to ensure we have you on our list of businesses to contact.

  • There are a few options and it’s completely up to you!

    1. We email a link and you fill out the survey

    2. We set up a meeting via Zoom, phone, or in person and walk you through the survey

  • It really depends on how much you have to say. Approximately an hour, but some businesses need less time or more time. The goal is to listen to the businesses needs and gather as much information as possible for two reasons:

    1. We want to make sure that any programs that are created as a result of the survey is actually going to help — that can’t be done with a 10 question survey.

    2. In order to apply for grants and government funding, we need reliable data to support the request.

    Is the survey long? Yes. But, the more you put into it, the more you’re likely to get something out of it. It’s worth your time to set aside an hour to complete the survey.

  • Any urgent items for your business will be flagged and we will attempt to deal with them as quickly as possible.

    The plan is to start analyzing the data in December. However, it is important that we get enough surveys completed to get supportable data, so the timeline may have some flexibility to it.

    We want to help businesses as quickly as possible, but we also want to attempt to create solutions that will actually help you, and that can take some time. You can check out the timeline above, but we will also keep you updated on our progress on this page.

  • All of your responses are confidential and anyone involved in collecting surveys and analyzing data is bound to a high level of confidentiality. Your permission will be asked before starting the survey, and any questions you are not comfortable responding to can be skipped — no explanation needed!

    The data that will be published will be compiled data and not individual responses. No business details or personal information will be included unless a business would specifically like to be spotlighted for the program.
